Tasty Stirfry






Feel like Chinese food, but don't want the guilt or the grease? Here's a tasty recipe that's sure to please! It's quick and easy and can serve 3-4 or 2 very very hungry people.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound boneless chicken, pork, or beef
- 1 small onion
- 1 carrot
- 6 medium mushrooms
- 2 bunches of green onions
- 1/2 small head of broccoli
- 5 gloves garlic
- 1 small piece of ginger (equal to about 1/2 a glove of garlic)
- Hoisin Sauce
- Soy Sauce

Preparation:
1) Dice onion
2) Slice carrots into thin slices
3) Slice mushrooms into medium slices
4) Slice green onions
5) Cut broccoli along the stem into long pieces
6) Dice garlic
7) Dice ginger
8) Slice meat into thin slices
9) Put oil into a large frying pan or wok. Ensure to coat the bottom of the pan or wok with a thin layer.
10) Use medium high heat. Make sure the oil is hot before you begin.
11) Add ginger, garlic, carrots, and broccoli to stir fry. Fry for about 3 minutes.
12) Add meat and from for about 1 minutes, or until surface of meat is cooked. It should be medium rare.
13) Add white onions, green onions, and mushrooms.
14) Fry mixture until onions and mushrooms are golden brown.
15) Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
16) Add 6 tablespoons of Hoisin sauce.
Note: You may add hoisin to adjust sweetness and soy to adjust saltiness.

Serve over rice and enjoy this delicious dish.
