Fabulous Fruit Crumble

Here we have a wonderful dessert that is as simple to make as it is delicious! It is fabulously versatile as you can use any of your favourite fruit(s) to satisfy the young and the old, as well as the health conscious, vegetarians and vegans, and everyone in between.

Today, we'll be making an apple crumble.

Makes 1 serving.

To make this dessert, you will need the following ingredients:

Filling ingredients:
- 1 medium apple (roughly 1 cup of your desired fruit)
- 5 mL of cinnamon (optional)
- 5 mL of water (omit if your fruit is very juicy- mine wasn't)
- 5 mL of sugar (omit if your fruit is very sweet- mine was!)

Topping ingredients:
- 25 mL of flour
- 20 mL of brown sugar
- 20 mL of margarine
- 30 mL of oatmeal

Preparation:
1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
2) Slice fruit into thin pieces and mix with other filling ingredients in your baking dish (I used a ceramic bowl)
3) Set aside
4) In another bowl, mix all of the topping ingredients until crumbly
5) Sprinkle your topping mixture over the fruit mixture in the baking dish
6) Put it into your oven and bake for 15- 20 minutes
7) Pull out of oven and let it cool a bit before you enjoy


Note: Try your fruit crumble cold the next day, it's wonderful too!
*For a bonus treat, serve this on a dish with vanilla ice cream on top! Mmmm...
