Chillin' Chili Veggie Style Vegetarian Chili






Here's a chillin' chilli recipe that will rock your taste buds. It is vegetarian, but you can substitute the meat substitute with real meat!

Ingredients:

- 1 medium onion
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 carrot
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 540mL (19 fl. oz.) can red kidney beans
- 1 540mL (19 fl. oz.) can black beans
- 1 package veggie ground round
- chili powder
- rosemary
- tabasco or hot sauce
- 1/4 cup A1 sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- water

Yields 6-8 servings

Instructions:

1) Heat pot or slow cooker to medium-high.
2) Dice onion, celery, carrots, and garlic.
3) Combine onion, celery, carrot, and garlic in pot until onions become soft.
4) Add soy sauce and chili powder to mixture and cook until vegetables become soft.
5) Add veggie ground round, A1, and ketchup.
6) Cook for 1/2 hour until ground round absorbs flavor.
7) Turn heat down to medium.
8) Add beans and let cook for 1 hour.
9) Add hot sauce and additional chili powder to taste.
10) Turn heat off or on low.
11) Leave to simmer for 2 hours so flavours are absorbed.
12) Add water to desired chili thickness, add salt, pepper, and/or hot sauce to desired taste.
13) Eat!
